While Lamborghinis placed in competitions are a rare site, the 24 Hours of Le Mans are an exception. In 2006 the team Jloc Isao Noritake decide to race with a Murcielago R-GT. The unforgettable sound of the majestic 5990 cm3 V12 engine enchanted the straight line of the Hunaudières during tests and placed 43rd at just 200 km/h on average. During the race, the team composed of Marco Apicella, Atsushi Yogo and Koji Yamanishi were less successful and were forced to declare forfeit. This model was designed in partnership with Kyosho.
